Wonderful things are happening at the Newark Townhomes Library! Thanks to a generous donor who wanted to honor their mother’s legacy, and the collaboration of Service Coordinator Stephanie Collinsworth and OCCH, Newark Townhomes now has a vibrant library space serving families right where they live!
In just the last 90 days:
-The library has been open an average of 7 days a month
-Welcomed 42 visitors per month – 126 visits through July 22 (not including volunteers!)
-Favorite activities: Coloring, Connect 4, Rush Hour, rug time, and matching games!
-Top reads include: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Pete the Cat, and Old MacDonald Had a Farm
The library also has 3 dedicated parent volunteers and an active group chat where parents can swap shifts, ask questions, and stay connected.
Up next for the library is hosting a Reading Challenge before school starts! Kids will compete to read the most books for a fun prize. This library is more than a space, it’s a growing community hub filled with learning, laughter, and love.
