“Is it a disability, or is it a language difference? Can you help me figure it out?” Given the new guidelines for identifying and supporting students with dyslexia, it is more important than ever for teachers who serve multilingual learners to be effective collaborators. This session tackles two topics: what the new dyslexia law means for teachers serving ELs/MLLs, and resources and best practices for collaborating with other educators.
